What Each Site Publishes About Its Roulette

Roulette counts and studio lists below were taken first hand from each operator's own lobby, game API or sitemaps in August 2026, not from marketing copy. Read the last column first. It is the one that decides whether a bonus is usable on this game at all.

Two patterns fall out of that table and neither is what a bitcoin casino roulette list usually leads on. How Bonus Terms Weight Roulette, and Why It Matters More Than the Bonus

This is the item a roulette player needs and almost no crypto roulette sites list mentions. Because roulette has a low, fixed house edge, operators cannot afford to let a bonus be cleared on it, so they weight it down or exclude it. The result, read out of the published terms of the ten sites ranked above:

• 10 percent is the best figure anyone here publishes. Cloudbet's term 8.5 counts slots at 100 percent and live and table games at 10, so clearing an offer on roulette takes ten times the turnover it takes on slots.
• 5 percent at Bitz, where blackjack, roulette, baccarat, video poker and all live casino games share that rate, and roughly 740 further titles count nothing under clause 12.12.
• Nothing at all at BC.Game, where live casino and table games contribute zero while third-party slots contribute 50 to 100 percent, against a wagering multiple reported at 40 to 45 times deposit plus bonus.
• Nothing at all at 1xBit, which names roulette on its exclusion list and excludes live casino from the welcome bonus entirely, and at FortuneJack, where only slots and a single crash title count toward the ten times wagering.
• Excluded from bonus play entirely at BetFury, which excludes table games outright, and does not publish the wagering multiplier anywhere in any case.
• Unknowable before you deposit at Thrill, whose section 9 sets no wagering figure, base, cashout cap or expiry and defers everything to the individual offer, and at 1win, which does not publish its welcome wagering requirement at all.
• Not applicable at Parimatch, which excludes cryptocurrency deposits from its welcome bonuses.
• No bonus to clear at Stake, which runs no deposit match. On a roulette page that is the cleanest position on the list: nothing to be weighted out of, and its 1x deposit turnover is satisfied by a roulette bet like any other.

So the practical reading is blunt. A roulette bonus is close to a contradiction in terms. If you intend to play the wheel, the deposit-match headline is not a reason to choose a site, and at several of these sites accepting one actively traps a balance you could otherwise withdraw. Compare the turnover rule on ordinary deposits instead, which is the thing that applies whether or not you take an offer.

One more term worth knowing before you opt in anywhere: a maximum bet while a bonus is live is common, and a roulette player hits it faster than a slots player because outside bets are placed in larger units. Two of the sites above cap bonus-play stakes at 10 dollars a bet.

European, American or French: the Wheel Decides the Cost

Never play the American wheel if a European one is available. The extra pocket does not change any payout, it just adds a way to lose. On the same bets, at the same stakes, for the same length of time, it costs you almost double. There is no compensating advantage.

French roulette is the best value in the building, and almost nobody uses it. The wheel is identical to European, but French tables usually run a rule called La Partage: when zero hits, you get half your even-money stake back rather than losing it all. That halves the house edge on red/black, odd/even and high/low from 2.70 percent to 1.35 percent.

Some tables run En Prison instead, which locks the bet for one further spin rather than refunding half. The effect is similar.

Two caveats worth stating. La Partage applies only to the even-money bets, so a straight-up number on a French table is still 2.70 percent. And French tables are scarce: of the ten lobbies examined for this page, two name a French wheel, and only one of those is a live table.

If you play red/black or odd/even at all, a French table is a straight 50 percent reduction in what the game costs you, for no change in how you play it.

How the Payouts Work, and Why the House Wins

The mechanism is simpler than most explanations make it, and understanding it explains every number above.

Look at the first row. A straight-up bet pays 35 to 1, but there are 37 pockets, so the true odds are 36 to 1. Every payout on the table is calculated as if the zero did not exist. That gap is the house edge, and it is why the figure is identical at 2.70 percent whichever bet you choose on a European wheel.

Add a second zero and the gap widens without the payouts changing. That is the whole of the American wheel's disadvantage: 38 pockets, still paying 35 to 1.

Two consequences worth drawing out.

No combination of bets improves your position. Because every bet carries the same edge, covering more of the table does not reduce it. Betting half the numbers halves your variance and leaves the expected loss exactly where it was.

Red/black is not a coin flip. It is 18 winning pockets out of 37, which is 48.65 percent, not 50. On an American wheel it is 18 out of 38, or 47.37 percent.

What an Hour of Roulette Actually Costs

This is the calculation almost no comparison page makes, and it is the one that changes behavior.

Your expected loss is stake per spin, times spins per hour, times the house edge. Speed is therefore a cost, and it varies enormously between formats.

At 10 dollars a spin on a European wheel at 80 spins an hour, you are staking 800 dollars and can expect to lose about 21.60. The same session on an American wheel costs about 42 dollars. On a French table betting even money, about 10.80.

Move to RNG roulette at 200 spins an hour and the European figure roughly triples to around 54 dollars, on identical bets at an identical edge, purely because you played faster.

That is the honest answer to what roulette costs. It is also why the automatic and speed tables get promoted hardest: the edge is the same and it gets applied to more money per hour.

Live Bitcoin Roulette and Who Actually Runs the Table

Live roulette is streamed from a studio with a real wheel and a real dealer, and it is what most people looking for live bitcoin roulette actually want. It plays identically to the software version in terms of odds, and differently in every other respect.

What is better. You can see the wheel, which resolves the "is it rigged" question for most people more effectively than any verification tool. The pace is slower, which as the table above shows is a straightforward reduction in what an hour costs.

What is worse. Minimum stakes are usually higher than on RNG tables. Table availability varies by time of day. And a live stream needs a stable connection, so a dropout mid-bet is a real annoyance.

The studio is the product, and it is licensed in rather than built. Every live floor counted for this page carries both Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live, so the tables you play are largely the same wherever you go. What differs is the number of studios beside them, which runs from two at Thrill up to twenty-two at 1win, and that changes the range of table styles and stake bands rather than the odds. Lightning Roulette, and what the multipliers cost you. Lightning Roulette and its imitators add random multipliers of 50x to 500x to a handful of numbers each round. The multipliers are real, and they are funded by a reduced base payout: a straight-up win pays 29:1 instead of 35:1. So the return on straight-up bets is slightly below a standard European table, and the outside bets are unchanged because they are not eligible for multipliers.

It is a legitimate trade, higher variance for a slightly worse return, and it is worth knowing you are making it rather than assuming the multipliers are free.

Provably Fair Roulette: What Verification Proves, and What It Cannot

Provably fair is the crypto-native answer to "is this rigged", and it is worth understanding precisely because it is frequently explained wrongly. Among the sites ranked above, an in-house provably fair roulette exists at five: Cloudbet, Stake, BetFury, BC.Game and Thrill. Our provably fair casinos page covers the mechanism across other games.

The mechanism. Before you bet, the operator generates a secret value called the server seed and publishes a hash of it. A hash is a one-way fingerprint: you can confirm a value matches its hash, but you cannot work backward from the hash to the value. Your own client seed is combined with it, along with a nonce that increments with each bet so that repeated bets from the same seed pair produce different outcomes. The combination is converted into a number, and that number maps to a pocket.

After the round, the operator reveals the server seed. You hash it yourself and check it against the hash published before you bet.

What that proves. If the hashes match, the server seed existed before your bet and was not changed afterward. The operator could not have seen your stake and then chosen a losing pocket.

What it does not prove, and this is the part specific to roulette. Verification says nothing about the edge, because the edge lives in how the number maps to pockets, and a European mapping and an American mapping both verify perfectly. The label transfers from dice to roulette. The number does not. Operators publishing high returns on their in-house games are publishing them for dice, plinko, limbo and keno: Cloudbet names eight Originals at 99 percent with one at 99.48, and roulette is not among them, while BetFury's "up to 99.28 percent" is a ceiling across a suite that includes its own wheel. Any single-zero roulette is capped at 97.30 percent by arithmetic, provably fair or not. So a verified wheel is a wheel you can trust to be untampered, at exactly the price the pockets set.

And it says nothing about payouts. A provably fair game and a slow withdrawals desk coexist happily. Verification is about the spin, not the operator.

One practical note. Provably fair roulette is an in-house game built by the casino, not a studio product. Live dealer roulette cannot be provably fair in this sense, because the outcome comes from a physical wheel. What it offers instead is that you can watch it.

Is Roulette Rigged?

At a licensed operator running studio software or a verifiable in-house game, almost certainly not, and the reason is that it does not need to be. The house edge is already built into the payouts, publicly, permanently, and in the operator's favor. A 2.70 percent edge applied to enough spins is a reliable business. Rigging a game that already wins would risk a license for no additional gain.

Three things are worth doing instead of worrying about it.

Check the wheel, because a 5.26 percent American table costs you nearly double a European one and that is a much bigger effect than any plausible rigging. Check the license against the regulator's register, which is what actually gives you recourse: among the sites above, two are on licenses that do not cover the domain players are routed to, and one shows as expired on the register while the operator supplies an active certificate for a different domain. The realistic risks in crypto gambling are not rigged wheels. They are withdrawal terms, licenses that do not name the site you are on, and bonus conditions that make a balance unwithdrawable.

Do Roulette Systems Work?

No, and the reason is the same one that makes the wheel choice matter: every bet carries the same edge, so no arrangement of bets changes the expected result.

Martingale. Double after each loss so one win recovers everything. It fails on a bankroll or a table limit, and both arrive sooner than people expect. On red/black at a European wheel, the chance of losing eight in a row is roughly 1 in 200, so across a few hundred spins you should expect to meet it. From a 1 dollar base, that run has you 255 dollars down and needing 256 on the next spin. Martingale is not a way to win, it is a way to convert many small losses into one large one.

Tracking previous spins. Spins are independent. A run of reds does not make black due, and the boards displaying recent results exist because players want them, not because they mean anything.

What actually reduces the cost. Pick a French table and bet even money, which halves the edge. Play a slower format, which reduces how many times the edge is applied per hour. Set a loss limit before you start. Those three are the entire list, and the first two are arithmetic rather than strategy.

Roulette by Cryptocurrency

Every coin plays the same wheels. What changes is the cost and speed of getting money in and out, which matters more for roulette than for slower games because sessions are short and top-ups are frequent.

Ethereum roulette. Widely accepted, and on Ethereum mainnet the network fee can run to several dollars or more, which is disproportionate on a small deposit. Where an operator accepts ETH on a layer-two network, the same transfer costs a fraction of that.

Solana roulette. Among the cheapest and fastest options, with fees at a fraction of a cent and confirmation in seconds. Well suited to a game you play in short bursts.

Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash roulette. Both fast and cheap, and both accepted less universally than Bitcoin or Ethereum, so check the cashier rather than assuming.

Stablecoins. The sensible default for a balance you leave on site. A session's result stays that result rather than moving with the market afterward, and USDT and USDC settle cheaply on the faster networks.

Bitcoin. Accepted at every bitcoin casino and the slowest of the group, with confirmations around ten minutes and fees that rise with network demand. Fine for a single deposit, less convenient if you reload mid-session.

Whichever you use, the coin has no effect on the wheel, the payouts or the house edge. It affects how much you pay to move money and how much your balance drifts while it sits there.

Two things to check on a phone. Live dealer streams use significant data and need a stable connection, so a dropout during a betting window is a genuine risk on mobile data. Whether the license names the site you are on. This decides whether you have recourse. Each site's licensed entity and license number are published so you can check the register yourself, and on this page two licenses do not cover the domain players are routed to.

In-account limits. Deposit limits, loss limits and self-exclusion that you set yourself rather than requesting from support. Two of the sites above put a deposit limit in the account rather than behind a support request, and only one of those also publishes a loss limit, which is the figure that actually matters: a deposit cap can be satisfied by a run of wins without protecting anything.
