Every casino ranking on Bitcoin.com is built from documented research: we verify licenses directly with the issuing regulator, read every operator's own terms in full, and weigh independent complaint records. This page explains exactly how operators are vetted, evaluated, scored, and re-checked — and how we make money — so you can judge our recommendations on the same evidence we use to make them.

How We Make Money — and What It Can't Buy

Bitcoin.com earns revenue from the casinos we list. Operators can pay to be included in our directory, and we may earn a commission when you open an account through our links. Those links are marked as sponsored, and listings that include paid placement carry a Sponsored label.

Here is what that money cannot buy: a position, a rating, or a verdict. Rankings follow score order — nothing else. A paying operator can rank last, and an unfavourable review stays published. Scores change only when the evidence changes — new documented findings, a verified complaint pattern, or a licensing event — never on commercial request.

The people who manage commercial relationships are separated from the people who write reviews. Our business development team negotiates deals; it does not write, edit, or approve review content, scores, or rankings. Every review is checked against the underlying evidence by a second, independent fact-checker before it publishes.

Vetting: What Every Casino Must Pass Before It's Listed

No operator appears on our pages — paid or otherwise — until it passes a documented vetting check. We verify:

  • A license we can verify. The regulator and license number must check out directly with the issuing regulator's register, not just appear on the casino's website. We record the license details for every listed operator — and we name what a license regime does and doesn't protect, rather than presenting weak regimes as trust signals.
  • Identifiable ownership. We identify the operating company and its jurisdiction. Anonymous teams are disqualifying.
  • Responsible gambling tools. Deposit limits, loss limits, and self-exclusion must be offered — confirmed against the operator's published tools and policies, not just claimed.
  • Fairness. We require provably fair tooling or a certified RNG audit from a named independent lab, and we check what independent game-integrity reviews report.
  • Payout reliability. We analyze complaint patterns across independent watchdog platforms, player communities, and review sites — weighted for consistency and recency, and treated as risk signals rather than proof.
  • No prohibited categories. Operators under active regulatory enforcement, and platforms in categories we prohibit, are not listed at any price.

How We Evaluate Every Casino

Every review is built from primary sources and documented evidence — never from the operator's marketing copy alone:

  1. License and operator verification. Checked against the issuing regulator's register, with the operating entity and license number recorded and re-checked over time.
  2. The operator's own terms, read in full. General terms, bonus terms (wagering requirements, game weighting, maximum bet, maximum cashout, expiry), and AML/withdrawal policies — the rules that actually decide whether and when you get paid.
  3. Reputation analysis. Complaint patterns across independent watchdogs and player communities, regulator actions, and third-party safety assessments. We report recurring patterns — like withdrawal friction around large wins — and clearly separate verified facts from unverified reports.
  4. Platform assessment. Game library and providers, supported coins and payment routes, support channels, mobile experience, and responsible gambling tooling — from the platform's published information cross-checked against independent sources.

How Scoring Works (UPCOMING)

Each casino is scored 1–5 on eight criteria, weighted as below, and combined into a composite score out of 5. Ranking order on every listing page is composite score order. If two casinos tie, the better-documented withdrawal record ranks higher. Scores reflect the documented evidence available for each casino.

The Ratings You See on Our Pages (COMING SOON)

Ratings displayed on our listing and review pages are shown out of 5, to one decimal place. They are derived from the eight scored criteria above — never scored separately:

  • Trust & Safety — security & licensing and reputation.
  • Experience — user experience and customer support.
  • Selection — games & fairness and crypto support.
  • Fees & Value — payout speed, limits & fees, and bonus terms fairness.
  • Support — customer support.
  • Overall — the composite score. The overall rating on a review page is the same number that sets the casino's ranking position — one source of truth.

How We Keep Reviews Current

Rankings are not a one-time snapshot. We re-verify listed casinos on a rolling basis — license status, headline bonus terms, and complaint patterns — and each review's visible last-updated date changes only when a real re-check occurred, never for cosmetic edits.

A casino is removed from our pages immediately if:

  • Its license is suspended or revoked.
  • It comes under active regulatory enforcement.
  • We verify a pattern of non-payment.
  • It removes its responsible gambling tools.

Removal is executed by the review team, and our agreements with operators allow us to amend, correct, or unpublish content at any time.

Our Content Rules

  • Every review carries a named author with relevant experience, and a separate, named fact-checker who verifies the review against the underlying evidence.
  • Every statistic and comparison traces to a checkable source. Where we publish figures from our own testing, we say what we tested, in which market, and when.
  • Identity verification (KYC) requirements are stated factually. We never present the absence of identity checks as a benefit.
  • No guarantees and no profit implications. Gambling carries a house edge, and our content says so.
  • All operator links are marked as sponsored.

Gamble Responsibly

Online gambling is for adults — 18+ or the legal age in your jurisdiction — and involves real financial risk. Every game pays out less than it takes in over time; treat gambling as paid entertainment with a budget, never as a way to make money. Every casino we list must offer deposit limits, loss limits, and self-exclusion — use them. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, stop, and seek help from a professional support service in your region. Free, confidential support is available worldwide through Gambling Therapy.

Questions or Corrections

If you believe anything on our gambling pages is out of date or wrong — a bonus term, a license detail, a payout time — we want to know. Reach the review team through the contact options in our gambling directory, and we will re-check and correct the record.
